Gilsophalt Plus 0/5
Gilsophalt Plus 0/5 is a high quality granulated basalt mastic asphalt, for fast and durable repair of asphalt pavements. The granules are modified by Gilsonite natural asphalt, this modification increases the stability and reduces aging. Due to the special production, the granules can be removed and processed individually. The grit size 0/5 was chosen so that the hot material can be worked to almost zero at the edges.
Application
Gilsophalt Plus is processed at temperatures from 165°C to 200°C, in this temperature range the material is flowable and processable. Gilsophalt Plus can be melted either in the stove or, in the case of minor repairs, directly by turbo firing. The hot material only needs to be smoothed with a wooden trowel in the damaged area after it has been applied. Since the material is a mastic asphalt, it does not need to be compacted. After cooling, the material can immediately be subjected to strong mechanical loads. To increase the grip of the damaged area, the material should be lightly coated with bit while still hot. Grit to be gritted. After that, the traffic release can take place immediately. The material should not be installed thicker, as 3 cm in one layer.

The binder of the granules is PmB modified, this modification increases the stability. Due to the special production, the granules can be removed and processed individually. The grit size 0/5 was chosen so that the hot material can be worked to almost zero at the edges. Gilsophalt Plus 0/5 is currently produced in red and beige, but it can be produced in all other colors as well
